Certification Test Results
Test results were obtained by drop tests performed at Wayne State University by Dr. Voight Hodgson, Ph.D. Using the procedure for ASTM 1292, the rubber mulch was filled to a depth of 6 inches. Test drop heights were tested up to 10 feet in a three drop series. With drop tests of an ANSI metal headform, the material easily meets standard requirements at 10 feet with test results showing a peak deceleration of 102 G to 118 G. This was only about 1/2 the maximum allowable peak deceleration of the head model which is 200 G.
